The Zilliqa blockchain network has surpassed $1billion in terms of the total value of its tokens - the second Singapore-based company to do so.
Part of its success has been put down to the proof-of-concept that saw its technology achieving impressive technical results - notably a processing speed more than 200 times higher than Ethereum. The company is also involved in the Inmediate project for blockchain-powered insurance products alongside Deloitte and Asian insurance company FWD.
The company and its investors will hope that these credentials help to ensure longer-term success beyond the initial ICO hype.
