Chris is a healthcare lawyer at Clyde & Co’s offices in Edinburgh. He specialises in regulatory work representing professionals before their regulators including the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (GMC), Dental Professionals Hearings Service (GDC), Nursing and Midwifery Council, General Optical Council, Health and Care Professions Council, and the General Teaching Council for Scotland. He is a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.
Chris also has a litigation practice which includes clinical negligence and product liability actions raised in the Scottish courts and has dealt with claims of varying complexity and value. He also has experience in judicial reviews and data protection claims. He has also worked with clients in high-profile public inquires including the UK Covid-19 Inquiry and Edinburgh Tram Inquiry.
Chris's practice also includes complex historical disease litigation and he has acted for core participants in the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry.
