It is a day after the terrible fire at the Zen Tower in Dubai Marina. It is a stark reminder that fire safety in tall buildings has to be top of the agenda.

As buildings become more complex, it will become increasingly important for the supply chain to be managed and to come together to ensure that fire safety standards are upheld.  For example where different trades interface.

This can to an extent be achieved through good project management but also ensuring the contractual obligations are such as to adequately address responsibility between sub-contractors.
